"MARY"

"Mary"

From physical to digital, scanned photograph montage of all the available photos of one person centered to their face.

Challenges assumptions about traditional photographic portraiture. Why do we assume that we can know something about someone from a fraction of a second of their life, from one perspective? What can we know of someone in the aggregate of the whole (or at least a larger set)?

All the images I could find of my grandmother, from black and white images of the whole street in 1930s London to Kodak family snaps and digital photography. Explores domestic relationship with photography in the 21st century.
